It's Been Awhile

I've been meaning to post here, but just haven't gotten around to it until now.

My husband and I now have a dog. Her name is "Girl". She previously belonged to the son of a friend of ours. The son and his girlfriend are in the process of adopting a baby and weren't able to keep the dog. We've had her since May of this year.

I'm not sure of her exact breed and age, but we hope to find out in a couple of weeks, when we take her to the vet for some shots. (OUCH!!)

It's Amazing

When I decided to start this blog, I had all of these things that I wanted to put down, but now I can't think of a thing. Must be some sort of "writer's block". Patience is a virtue, so I'll just have to give it some time!!

My First Post

Well, I decided to start a blog. Thought it would be a good way to start off the New Year!!

Like most people, I have been watching the devastating events that have been occuring in Asia. It's amazing how something so tragic can bring people of different cultures, ethnicity, religious beliefs, etc. together. I heard that later this week there will be an interfaith service consisting of Christians, Muslims and Buddhists.

Here's hoping that whatever one's beliefs are, that we keep the survivors as well as all the families of the deceased in our thoughts, and if appropriate, in our prayers.
